Still in my thoughts...and prayers

Life goes on, siblings grow up and have families of their own.  But no one has forgotten the impact Jackie's life had on all of us.  I continue to think of Jackie's family, and pray for their continued ability to heal and move on.  And Jackie remains in my thoughts...always.

Jonathan Burns sentenced to death for Jackie's murder

I realized, coming back to this blog, that I never shared what happened in the trial of the "man" that took Jackie away from her family and friends.  He was sentenced to death.

Administrative Update

We have noticed that some unscrupulous entities have begun to submit spamming comments to our blog; because of this, we have had to make some changes to the comment posting experience. We do apologize for the extra hoops and hurdles but the result will be a site where you can still interact with Jackie's family and friends without the bother of posts having nothing to do with her memory or legacy. Thanks!

We Want to Hear From You

The last several weeks have been the most trying time in the lives of the Hartman family. While it's been incredibly difficult for them, they have been touched by the love and support they've received from the community and are incredibly grateful.

It's hard to imagine that what happened to their daughter and sister hasn't had an impact on others. So the family would like to hear from you.
  • Did you participate in the search efforts?
  • Did you contribute in some other way?
  • How did contributing make you feel?
  • Did you learn anything from that experience or by seeing the events unfold in the case?

Please post your feedback to this blog. We look forward to hearing from you.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Today it was confirmed that the body found this past weekend was that of Jackie Hartman. Please know that the past few weeks have been extremely difficult but the days/weeks/months to come will be especially hard for the Hartman family. The efforts put forth by everyone was truly amazing and we can't thank you enough for everything that was done. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time.

Since Jackie has now been found, the focus of this site is going to shift from "finding Jackie" to "remembering Jackie." So many of the articles specific to the search activities have been removed. The address to the site will remain the same. We will continue to post information to this site as the case against those involved evolves.
